The lockout is officially over, and baseball is almost here for the 2022 Season! But before we look ahead to Opening Day, Topps NFTs is excited to reveal MLB Inception/Series 2 Challenge Rewards!
Last year, during the 2021 MLB Postseason, we hosted Challenges specific to the World Series and MLB’s End of the Year Awards (Rookie of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP). Collectors who completed these Challenges earned all-new, totally unique NFTs. These Challenge Rewards feature some of baseball’s biggest stars, including a Shohei Ohtani batting and pitching NFT, and players previously not featured in Topps NFTs releases, such as Jonathan India and Robbie Ray.
Without further ado, here are the rewards!
To recap, Collectors needed to obtain specific cards related to each individual Challenge by a certain date. These Challenges were revealed prior to the end of the World Series and MLB End of the Year Awards and wrapped up after the conclusion of the World Series and the announcement of each of the Awards in November.
Two of the Challenges were tied to the World Series, as seen below:
World Series Champions Challenge (Series 2) – Collect a Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, and Epic Team Cards of the World Series winner – Atlanta Braves
Predict the World Series MVP (Inception or Series 2) – Collect a Common, Uncommon, and Rare of the same type of card for the World Series MVP – Jorge Soler
The End of the Year Award Challenges featured both American League and National League Rookie of the Year, Cy Young, and MVP winners.
